When the Enemy Comes

As part of H.C. Andersen's Festival, Teater Momentum opens its professional stages to emerging young theatre artists. Four carefully selected emerging-talent groups present works with powerful and important narratives. These productions are created by young artists committed to developing their craft within theatre and performance art. With De Unge Mønsterbrydere, the festival and Momentum continue an important tradition of serving as a development platform that makes visible and supports young talent in theatre and dance.

ABOUT THE PRODUCTION

Winner of Teaterbattle 2025, "When the Enemy Comes" depicts a dystopian universe where four men - each more incompetent than the last - become victims of war's misery in their own ways. The greatest victim is the Girl, claimed by all the men. Can she escape eternal oppression, or is it actually she herself who allows fear of her own autonomy to oppress her?
