Meet Taste Listen Eat

Ko-laboratoriet invites you to a communal dinner, sensory experience and conversation on August 27 at SamBiosen, Pillemarksvej 1, 8305 Samsø. The evening features a podcast conversation between visual artist Ida Schrader and SamBiosen director Jeppe Dam Skriver about food, raw materials, sensory perception, transitions, agency and the shared meal - including how community can strengthen our relationship with nature. The conversation is moderated by cultural journalist Diana Bach.

Ida Schrader works with climate change, technology and agency, transforming these themes into works that are simultaneously strange and recognizable, gruesome and humorous. Jeppe Dam Skriver shares his experience of bringing visions of better raw materials, more community and less waste to life - through communal dinners for the island's residents and daily school meals for the youngest.

The ticket price includes a shared dinner, snacks and conversation. The bar is open for beverage purchases.

The event is a precursor to Brundby Biennial #2, created by Ko-laboratoriet. In summer 2027, Ko-laboratoriet invites artists and knowledge bearers to Samsø with a focus on the interplay between art and nature.
