Grønnehave Forest, Næsholm Ruins and Ringholm, 20 km

Grønnehave Forest, Næsholm, Kattegat and Ringholm on 29 August 2026, 20 km. The walk starts from Nykøbing Sjælland Harbour at 9:00. Meeting time 8:55, address: Nykøbing Sjælland Harbour, Snekkevej 9, 4500 Nykøbing Sjælland. We begin by walking along small forest paths through Grønnehave Forest and up to the old water tower in Nykøbing Sjælland, with fine views over the town and surrounding area. Then we head to Syvhøje and down to Nygård Lake and Næsholm Ruins. We walk around Nygård Lake and continue up to Kattegat, where we have lunch. Afterwards we walk down to Ringholm and return to Nykøbing Sjælland Harbour. The walk is approximately 20 km, mostly on natural paths. The terrain is mainly gravel paths and natural trails with grass, earth and stone. There are a few asphalt sections on the route. I expect the walk to take about 5 hours including short breaks and lunch. The average pace will be about 5 km/h. There are toilets at Nykøbing Sjælland Harbour. Bring clothes for the weather, packed lunch, drinks and perhaps some snacks. Feel free to bring coffee or tea for the coffee break. If interested, you can book a ticket via Billetto.
