7 Years of Ungdomsøen

This year marks seven years since Ungdomsøen opened. We celebrate on Friday, September 4 at 3:30 PM with an evening on the island to honour everything created at this historic sea fort since summer 2019. Expect performances from the young people who bring the island to life, a long-table dinner on the quay, and hopefully sunshine. The ferry returns to Nyhavn at 7:50 PM. Afterwards, the dance floor opens, and those who wish can stay overnight on the island and take the ferry home on Saturday.

ABOUT UNGDOMSØEN
Ungdomsøen is located within the historic Middelgrundsfort off Copenhagen. We are a community and platform where young people from across the country create projects and events they dream about. Each year, hundreds of young people help develop everything from music festivals and long-table dinners to poetry retreats and exam exile spaces. We are a free space where friend groups, school students, and university students explore, learn, and become part of new communities. A group of young people moves to the island each year, where they spend a year developing projects and helping shape what we become for young people.
