Wild Food Foraging in Ishøj Strandpark — ARKEN Museum for Moderne Kunst, Ishøj

Biologist and wild food expert Klara Rask from Vilde Råvarer leads a foraging walk in Ishøj Strandpark, where plants such as sea rocket, sea beet, rosehip, and sea buckthorn grow. Klara has 10 years of experience teaching wild food and has taught at the Hotel and Restaurant School in Copenhagen. With a background in ecology and botany, she has deep knowledge of Danish wild plants and nature. The tour lasts approximately 2 hours, depending on weather and group size.

What to bring: practical clothing and footwear, basket, notebook and pencil, small knife/scissors/secateurs, gloves, plastic bags or other containers, water and snacks.

Meeting point: at the golden swing sculpture in front of the Arken entrance. You can arrive by bike or bus 128 from Ishøj Station - the museum has a large free car park.

Children aged 5-13 are welcome with a child ticket at 100 DKK, or bring two children on a family ticket. Children under 5 are free, but note that parts of the tour take place on sand and rough terrain, which is not suitable for pushchairs.
