Mountainbuilding

In Mountainbuilding, the body's movements meet the mountains' slow transformations. The work adapts to its surroundings, and in this setting becomes anchored in Sydhavnstippen's distinctive landscape. Over three hours, choreographer and dancer Anna Pehrsson creates an open field of movement and stillness with a group of dancers, emerging in dialogue with the tip. Sydhavnstippen is a human-made landscape, shaped by waste and fill between 1945-1973, and is today a living ecosystem. Bodies move in relation to earth, vegetation and wind, mirroring the processes of accumulation, decomposition and change that have formed the landscape.
