Listen & Embroider: An Evening with Signe Ryge
Hovedbiblioteket, Odense · 135 kr. · ≈ 18 €
Signe Ryge gives a lecture on the cultural history of the apple - from the Fall of Man in the Garden of Eden to grandmother's apple cake with grated apple and whipped cream. During the evening you can taste different Danish apple varieties, and you are welcome to bring embroidery or other handicrafts. Everyone is welcome, whether you want to listen, geek out, or just sit along.
The event is connected to the APPLE GARDEN project at Kunstmuseum Trapholt. Kulturmaskinen also holds an inspiration workshop in apple embroidery with Karen Marie Dehn on August 31 - the two events can be purchased together at a discount via Kulturmaskinen's ticket system.
If you want to continue with the embroidery afterwards, there are open sewing evenings in Kulturmaskinen's textile workshop on Tuesdays 5-7 p.m. (September 15 and 29) and at Hovedbiblioteket on Wednesdays 10 a.m.-12 p.m. (September 16 and 23).
Venue: Store scene, 2nd floor.
