Sensory Workshops with Debbie and Franz

Sensory experiences for the youngest children. In a sensory room surrounded by colorful curtains printed with nature's own patterns, Franz and Debbie welcome the smallest visitors to a safe and exciting sensory experience. Hidden in small and large suitcases around the room are tactile nature secrets that we unpack one by one. We listen to them, feel them, smell them, and examine them more closely. What does it sound like when you shake plant seeds? How does sheep's wool smell? Can you make music with a potted plant? How do pine cones smell when they get wet? Can you draw with help from nature? And what does parsley actually taste like?

For children aged 1-4 years (nursery / young kindergarten). Duration approximately 35 minutes per group of 12 children. Two sessions - 09:30 and 10:30. The first session is reserved for nursery children. Free with registration.

The workshop is led by musician and illustrator Franz Bomberg and textile artist Debbie Kathrine Sørensen. They are affiliated with Solvang Library in 2026 for the project Nature's Fantasy / Fantasy's Nature, which has received support from Amager Vest Local Committee, Nordea Foundation, and children's cultural funds.
