Reading Circle: Red Door by Nanna Holm
Hovedbiblioteket, Odense · Free
Nanna Holm's novel follows three children - Aske, Gry and Mona - in a youth collective on Langeland as the Cold War draws to a close. The adults' dreams of freedom end in chaos, and the children fend for themselves in a childhood marked by both security and uncertainty. Years later, the three friends must confront the traces left by that fateful summer.
Literature facilitator Cathrine Hedegaard leads the reading circle with a focus on how we today relate to the boundless freedoms of the 1970s and 1980s - and what happens when childhood memories catch up with us.
The only requirement is a desire to share your reading experience with others. The reading circle takes place in room 3.5 (3rd floor).
