CANTA 2026

CANTA is a choir project focused on diversity in both repertoire and expression. The choir comprises 25 singers and is conducted by Kasper Borchersen.

This year's concert features a major classical work, Danish music, and a geographical exploration of the USA and Canada with three female composers. Pianist Love Persson also performs a solo piece, and the audience is invited to join in a couple of communal songs.

The repertoire includes:
- Missa Brevis St. Joannis de Deo (Franz Joseph Haydn, 5 movements)
- Underlige aftenlufte (Carl August Nielsen/arr. Kasper Borchersen)
- Uden kærlighed (Pernille Louise Sejlund)
- Seasons of Love (Eleanor Daley, 3 movements)
- O my dear Heart (Eleanor Daley)
- There is a place (Rosaphyne Powell)
- Now is the time (Cecilia McDowall)
