Themed Reading Circle: From Book to Film

This reading circle explores the meeting between literature and film across three Wednesday evenings in autumn - specifically what is gained and lost when a novel becomes a feature film.

The books on the programme are Alice Hoffmann's "Practical Magic" (23 September), Jane Austen's "Sense and Sensibility" (21 October), and Suzanne Collins' "The Hunger Games - The Ballad of Songbirds and Snakes" (18 November). All three have been or are being adapted to film.

No academic background is required to participate - a moderator guides the discussion. Admission is free, but registration is necessary.
