Canoeing Trip to the Sky Mountain

Join us for a canoeing adventure to Himmelbjerget. We meet at Studenterhus Aarhus at 09:30 and travel by shared bus to Ry, where we launch our canoes and paddle down the Gudenå river to Himmelbjerget. At the foot of the mountain, we hike to the summit (147 metres) and enjoy lunch with a view. Afterwards, we paddle back to Ry and return to Aarhus around 17:30.

You'll spend about 4 hours on the water, so no paddling experience is necessary - though some arm strength is helpful. Note: If the wind is too strong, we'll head south and find an alternative lunch spot instead of Himmelbjerget.

Programme:
09:30 - Departure from Studenterhus Aarhus
10:30 - Canoes, life jackets and paddling introduction
13:00 - Arrival at Himmelbjerget, hike to the summit and lunch
15:00 - Return to Ry
17:30 - Bus journey back to Aarhus

Price includes: Bus transport and canoe and life jacket rental.

Bring: Packed lunch, snacks, water and weather-appropriate clothing - preferably in a plastic bag. Swimwear is also a good idea if you fancy a swim at Himmelbjerget.
