Laust and Maria

Laust Sonne is the drummer in D-A-D, and Maria Erwolter is an international actress known from series such as 1899 and The Walking Dead. For years, the couple kept a major secret: Laust struggled with alcohol and drug addiction, and six years ago he was admitted to a closed psychiatric ward with substance-induced psychosis. Maria had him admitted on their fourth wedding anniversary - at a time when they were separated and living apart due to an addiction that had spiraled out of control.

Since then, Laust has been clean and sober. He has undergone addiction treatment and maintains his sobriety through Narcotics Anonymous, while Maria has had to confront her own role as an enabler. The couple has found their way back to each other.
