About

Maria Erwolter (born 22 December 1976 in Copenhagen) is a Danish actress who trained first as a dancer and later studied acting under Ivana Chubbuck in Los Angeles. She made her screen debut opposite Mads Mikkelsen in Nicolas Winding Refn's Pusher II (2004) and has since built an international career with roles in the Netflix series 1899 and Copenhagen Cowboy, as well as season 2 of The Walking Dead: Daryl Dixon. Since 2025 she and her husband, D-A-D drummer Laust Sonne, have toured Denmark with their candid talk show "Laust og Maria", which was also published as a book by Politikens Forlag.
