Syddansk Musikfestival - Henrik Dam Thomsen - Krengerup Gods

Henrik Dam Thomsen, principal cellist of the DR Symphony Orchestra, performs solo cello at Krengerup Gods as part of the Syddansk Musikfestival. The concert features Bach, with the cello as the sole instrument throughout.

The programme consists of three cello suites: Suite No. 1 in G major (BWV 1007), Suite No. 5 in C minor (BWV 1011) - intermission - and Suite No. 6 in D major (BWV 1012). Bach's cello suites are considered among the most significant works written for a solo instrument, and they place considerable demands on the musician both technically and musically.
