Walk in Esrum Valley

This guided walk follows the water's path through Esrum Valley - from the sacred spring across wet meadows to Esrum Lake and up towards the monastery and the King's Mill. Along the way, you'll hear stories about 900 years of connections between people and water in this landscape. The walk is approximately 4.5 km and takes around two hours.

At 1:30 PM, the Mill Association opens the water gates and sets the large gear wheel in motion, so Esrum Water Mill runs - you'll have an hour to see it after the walk. The tour ends with an Esrum Monastery ale or apple juice.

Meeting point is in front of the shop at Møllegården. Your ticket also gives access to the exhibitions at Esrum Kloster & Møllegård the same day (open 10:00-16:00). Exhibition tickets are purchased at the shop on Møllegården.
