THE UNWRITTEN - a serious comedy

It is a rehearsal at a theatre. Everything seems as usual - until two people arrive claiming to be characters who want to be finished. Can characters exist outside the theatre? Can they play themselves on stage? What is real, and what is illusion? And can someone be judged by a single wrong action?

THE UNWRITTEN is an adaptation of Pirandello's famous "Six Characters in Search of an Author" - a play that caused a stir at its premiere because it questions both human nature and the essence of theatre. Questions about what a true story is, and whether truth exists at all, are explored in a blend of humour and tragedy.

Mette Rønne plays all the roles alone on stage. When she last did this, critics wrote: "A masterclass in acrobatic acting technique and charming death" and "a remarkable display of acting skill". Director Anders Brink was praised as "brilliantly and intelligently staged".
