Union, Copenhagen · 120 kr. · ≈ 16 €
The festival's second concert night, Sonamos Latinoamerica, features two acts: Trio Candombe Fusion and Orientino Duo.
Trio Candombe Fusion is a Copenhagen-based band working with Afro-Uruguayan candombe set against jazz, funk and urban music. Through rhythm and improvisation, they place the drum at the centre - not merely as an instrument, but as a symbol of memory, resistance and community.
Orientino Duo is a piano, percussion and vocal ensemble that unites Latin American and Middle Eastern musical traditions. The project is led by Chilean-Swedish concert pianist and singer Tania Naranjo and Syrian-Swedish darbuka player and vocalist Bader Debs. Their programme includes interpretations of repertoire associated with Fairuz, Abdel Halim Hafez, Violeta Parra, Mercedes Sosa and Tom Jobim - as well as original compositions.
Doors open at 19:00, concert begins at 20:00. Advance tickets: 120 kr. - at the door: 180 kr.
