Thursday: Jazz Concert with Emerging and Professional Musicians

PLAY!GROUND LIVE is a talent development project that has given 12 young musicians the opportunity to establish themselves on the music scene every year since 2001. In total, 230 professional musicians have taken their first steps through the project, and in 2026 the concept continues with a new generation.

The musicians are selected by bandleader Bo Stief through national try-outs across Denmark, with emphasis on musicality, social skills, and gender balance. Stief is a bassist, composer, conductor, and producer who has been a prominent figure on both the national and international scene since the 1960s, known for mastering both electric and acoustic bass.
