Bo Stief Trio performs jazz at Cafe Korn in Holbæk. The acclaimed bassist Bo Stief takes the stage with guitarist Mads Nørgaard and trumpeter Rasmus Mikkelsen.
Bo Stief (born 15 October 1946 in Copenhagen) is a bassist, composer and producer with more than six decades on the international jazz scene. He began at 17 at the legendary Jazzhus Montmartre, accompanying Ben Webster, Dexter Gordon and Don Cherry - joining Cherry's quintet in 1966. He has since recorded and performed with Miles Davis, Stan Getz, Dizzy Gillespie and many others, led his own bands, and taught at every Danish music conservatory. In 2005 he received the Danish Django d'Or as Master of Jazz.
Bo Stief honored Niels-Henning Ørsted Pedersen with the narrative concert 'Letter to NHØP' at Holbæk Jazzklub to a full house.
