The Garden - A Walking Performance

HAVEN is a site-specific walking performance taking place on Friday, October 2, 2026 at 14:00 in the garden at Munkeruphus, in collaboration with Gribskov Teater.

The performance explores humanity's relationship with nature - from the Middle Ages to today, both wild and cultivated. Wearing headphones, the audience is guided through the garden by two performers who alternate between physical performative elements and sensory soundscapes. Through the headphones, visitors encounter stories from garden owners and expert perspectives from a landscape architect, a cultural historian, and others. The voices blend with the performers' own, inviting the audience to experience the poetic anatomy of plants: the scent of sage, the taste of candied roses, and the deep purple juice of elderflower.
