MUSViT x Absalon String Quartet

Copenhagen Concert Community presents a meeting between the neo-jazz quartet MUSViT and the classical Absalon String Quartet. The two ensembles perform entirely new music and special arrangements of MUSViT tracks such as "Mavepuster", "Sukker" and "Paparazzi" - an evening that blends strings, pop hooks, syncopated rhythms, rap-inspired vocals, hip-hop, chamber music and Nordic jazz.

MUSViT consists of Ronja Rose Andersson (DK) on vocals, alto saxophone and synth, Teis Ortved (DK) on tenor saxophone and keys, Jacob Tjernström (SE) on double bass and Adam Lorentzi (SE) on drums. The Danish-Swedish quartet is nominated for three Danish Music Awards for their debut EP, and their debut album Sukker from May has received praise in Orkesterjournalen. Politiken wrote: "The band sounds like no other in Denmark right now."

Absalon String Quartet won the P2 Chamber Music Competition 2023 and the Trondheim International Chamber Music Competition 2025. The quartet consists of violinists Thera Ortved and Andreas Larsen (DK), Alva Rasmussen (SE) on viola and Hedda Aadland (NO) on cello. A curiosity: Thera Ortved and Teis Ortved are siblings who grew up in Sydhavnen - and both bands made their debut at Klein/Karens Minde Kulturhus.
