Jeppe Holst & Da Capo

Dansk Guitar Selskab presents a concert featuring guitarist Jeppe Holst on Sunday, October 4 at 3:00 PM at Frølageret, Farvergården 7, in Odense.

Holst released in May 2025 the trilogy "Holst plays Holst - Here, There, Minor Everywhere" for acoustic 7-string solo guitar - reviewed by Finn Jackie Pedersen in Guitaren. The music draws on South American guitar music, jazz, Nordic melodies, and modern composition techniques. He has a broad career behind him: recordings and tours with Benny Andersen and Dodo, Helsingborg Symphony Orchestra and DR BigBand, participation in the orchestra for Toppen af Poppen on TV2, his own releases within jazz and bossa nova, and work as a session guitarist on soundtracks for Danish and foreign films.

For this concert, he plays his own music on his preferred 7-string acoustic guitar. As a prelude, Odense Music School's guitar orchestra Da Capo performs a couple of pieces.
