"HØST" - Lecture with Karima Bouylud

HØST - Lecture with Karima Bouylud: Thursday 5 November 2026, 19:00–20:30, Vollsmose Bibliotek, Odense. Admission is free.

The novel HØST follows Anna, a young adopted woman who travels to Ethiopia for the first time in thirty years to find her roots. Her reunion with her native country and biological mother is bittersweet and turns her understanding of the world upside down.

In the lecture, Karima Bouylud explores the themes that circle through the novel: identity, sexuality, the mother-daughter relationship, culture, racism, colonialism, and pan-Africanism.
