Medusa Quartet + Aske Skat

Medusa Quartet is an ensemble combining rare instruments with musical traditions from Europe, the Middle East, and North America - a repertoire spanning centuries. The quartet is committed to creating visibility for women, BIPOC, and queer artists in the music scene. Beyond their concert work, they are sought-after educators in Canada and the USA, leading workshops, masterclasses, and school programmes in Ontario and B.C.

The evening opens with Aske Skat, who plays alternative Americana - folk, country, soul, and rock in personal storytelling. Since his debut "Riding Silver Mind" (2020), he has released three albums and toured throughout the Nordic region and Canada with Nick Shoulders. He is also co-host of DR's Mon Amie Complexe (P6), a DJ, vinyl collector, and founder of the record label CMR.
