Mo - Gadens Stemmer

Mo has lived many lives: civil war in Lebanon, a career as a fashion model, running his own pizzeria, teaching at a school for the deaf - and throughout it all, heroin addiction and a period as a drug dealer. Today he is clean.

At 17, he entered the world of fashion and dance. Modeling work and his role as a dance teacher gave him confidence, but also brought him closer to drugs he didn't respect enough. One night on drugs leaves a scar across half his face - his appearance was his livelihood, but it doesn't stop him. Tranquilizers lead to heroin, and heroin takes over more and more of his life.

A strong woman puts her foot down and gives him an ultimatum. He gets his life together, finds work and has children - but one evening he thinks he can gamble with it all. He can't. The second time, he finances his addiction through crime and becomes a drug dealer, deeply paranoid and feared by those around him.

Today, Mo uses his story to educate young people. His most important message: reach out and talk about what hurts.
