Claus Høxbroe's Birthday Show

Høxbroe has had a difficult year: at the end of 2025, both his parents died suddenly within two months of each other, and in spring 2026 he himself came close to losing his life following complications from surgery. His birthday and life are celebrated with a lyrical evening at People Like Us Beer Bar.

The programme features readings from selected poems from his body of work - including the latest collection 'Melankoliens møl i brystet' - as well as entirely new poems from 'Sangfroid', which is currently being written and planned for publication in 2027. A poetry collection is included in the ticket price as thanks for the support over the years.

Claus Høxbroe made his debut in 2006 and has since published over 40 titles and toured in 10 countries. This year marks his 20th anniversary as a published poet. He is the recipient of the Audience Prize for Poetry Day and the Dan Turèll Prize and is a member of the society Grøftens Poeter.
