Rock Talks: Jimi Hendrix

Rock Talks focuses this evening on Jimi Hendrix - through words, images, audio clips and anecdotes about the music and stories behind one of rock history's greatest legends. The programme covers the triumphs, conflicts, scandals, masterpieces and the concerts that left their mark on both Danish and international music history.

A particularly significant moment in history is that Hendrix's final concert before his death took place right here in Vejlby-Risskov Hallen - which adds an extra dimension to the lecture in these surroundings.

Lecturer Thomas Ulrik Larsen has held more than 350 music lecture events since 2012 and has written for Gaffa, Musikeren, Ud & Se, Politiken and Swedish MM. He is also a music teacher, guitarist and songwriter with four album releases under the alias Lysår. Thomas is a recognized Pink Floyd expert, was a co-host on DR's P6 Beat in "P6 Beat elsker Pink Floyd" and served in autumn 2023 as official music educator at Østre Gasværk Teater in connection with the production of "Another Brick in the Wall pt. 5".
