About
AFSKUM is the stage name of Danish musician Prince Askar, born 1997, who works in a dark world of post-punk and synth rock. His Danish-language songs draw on personal experience - growing up as a young immigrant and asylum seeker in Denmark - and have earned him near-cult status in the Danish underground since his explosive Roskilde Festival debut in 2022. His self-titled debut album (2023) was signed to Universal Music Denmark and praised as a singular voice in Danish music. The follow-up, 'Hjertet/Kniven' (2025), is a two-part concept album that placed fourth on Soundvenue's list of the best Danish releases of the year.
