Alexandru Radu is a Romanian violinist born in 1975, who has held a permanent position in the Southern Jutland Symphony Orchestra since 2011. He began his professional career at 18 while still studying at the Bucharest Music Conservatory, and just four months after graduating in 1999 he won a violin competition and joined the orchestra. Between 2007 and 2011 he played with the Malaysian Philharmonic Orchestra before returning to Southern Jutland, where he regularly appears as both soloist and conductor and founded the baroque ensemble Musica Viva.
