About

Anders Koppel (born 17 July 1947 in Copenhagen) is the son of composer Herman D. Koppel and one of Denmark's most wide-ranging musical figures. He co-founded Savage Rose in 1967, playing Hammond organ and writing lyrics until 1974, then formed the world-music trio Bazaar with Peter Bastian and Flemming Quist Møller. As a composer he has scored more than 150 films, 50 stage productions and eight ballets, won the Danish Robert Award for best film score twice, and built a catalogue of over 90 classical works including four marimba concertos performed worldwide.
