About

Anja C. Andersen (born 1965 in Hørsholm) is a Danish astrophysicist and professor at the Niels Bohr Institute, University of Copenhagen. Since 2017 she has held Denmark's first professorship in public understanding of science and technology, alongside her research into cosmic dust and its role in star and planet formation. A prolific author and sought-after speaker, she published the large-format illustrated book 'Det gådefulde univers' in 2023 and has received more than 20 awards for research and science communication, including the EU Descartes Prize.
