B-Joe is the stage name of Danish guitarist, singer and record producer Brian Joe Johansen, born 22 January 1966 in Copenhagen. He founded the blues-rock band Azurit in 1985, which played over 1,000 concerts at Lades Kælder on Strøget before renaming itself B-Joe in 1990. The album "Ready to Ride" (1992), co-produced by Flemming Rasmussen - known for his work with Metallica - became a radio hit and was released internationally, with particular success in Germany. He now plays lead guitar in Shu-bi-dua 2.0 and runs his own record label.
Shu-bi-dua 2.0, with B-Joe as permanent guitarist, carried out a spring tour in 2025 with a performance of the album Shu-bi-dua 4 in its entirety.
Shu-bi-dua 2.0 - with B-Joe on lead guitar - played among other places on Plænen in Tivoli and toured the country in 2024 on the occasion of Shu-bi-dua's 50th anniversary.
B-Joe and the original band celebrated the 30th anniversary of "Ready to Ride" with anniversary concerts in September 2022.
B-Joe established his own record label and produced a new album with Erik Grip.
