About

Baest are a Danish death metal band from Aarhus, formed in 2015 with the same five members still in place: vocalist Simon Olsen, guitarists Lasse Revsbech and Svend Karlsson, bassist Mattias Melchiorsen, and drummer Sebastian Abildsten. Signed to Century Media Records, they have released four studio albums - Danse Macabre (2018), Venenum (2019), Necro Sapiens (2021), and Colossal (2025) - drawing on classic Swedish and Floridian death metal while steadily broadening their sound toward heavy metal territory. Five GAFFA Awards and the 2024 Artist of the Year title at Den Hårde Tone mark their standing in the Danish metal scene.

    Baest announced 'Colossal European Headline Tour 2026' - their most comprehensive headliner tour to date - with dates in Berlin, Hamburg, Prague, London and Dublin from September to October 2026.

    Fourth studio album Colossal was released on August 15, 2025 via Century Media Records, produced by Tue Madsen and featuring guest vocals from Jesper Binzer (D-A-D) on the single 'King of the Sun'.
