BEAM SPLITTER

About

BEAM SPLITTER is a Berlin-based electroacoustic duo formed in 2015 by Chinese-American vocalist Audrey Chen and Norwegian trombonist Henrik Munkeby Nørstebø, who are also life partners. Working with close-miked voice, breath, trombone and analog electronics, they have performed close to two hundred concerts across five continents. Their discography includes the duo albums "Rough Tongue" (Corvo Records, 2017) and "Split Jaw" (Tripticks Tapes, 2023), plus the trio album "wrists out" with Phil Minton (Robalo Music, 2024). Since 2020 they have also run Dedicated Play, a curatorial platform pairing them with experimental artists from around the world.
