Bending Backwards are a Copenhagen trio - Frederik Blæsild Vuust (vocals), Halfdan Stefansson (guitar) and Johannes Østlund Jacobsen (drums) - whose sound moves fluidly between dream pop, shoegaze, grunge and folk. Part of Copenhagen's experimental underground through the Movement Shaped Like a Heart collective, they release their debut album *still and quiet, brother, are you still and quiet* on 16 October 2026 via Pink Cotton Candy Records. Lyrically, the songs circle sibling bonds, childhood memory and long-distance longing, drawing on sources from biblical texts to T.S. Eliot and László Krasznahorkai.
Bending Backwards releases the single "Bend You Out of Shape" as the second taste of the debut album, which comes out on October 16, 2026.
The band releases the lead single "I See You From Here" - the first single from the debut album - via Pink Cotton Candy Records.
