Klub Soja: Crushing + Bending Backwards

Klub Soja: Crushing + Bending Backwards: 20 November – 21 November 2026, Islands Brygge Bibliotek, Copenhagen. Tickets cost 70 kr.

Klub Soja presents two bands from the experimental end of Danish guitar music.

Crushing works with emo, screamo and noise rock as a starting point - fast shifts and heavy guitars meet melodies about the body, sex, longing and sorrow. The personal and vulnerable is treated with a raw and sometimes humorous expression. The band's EP voice chat has received airplay on P6 BEAT, and they have played showcases at SPOT Festival twice.

Bending Backwards is a trio of vocals, guitar and drums that, with its minimal lineup, moves between dream pop, grunge, noise rock and folk. The lyrics revolve around close relationships and childhood memories and draw references from Tanakh and T.S. Eliot to roller skates. The band is affiliated with the collective Movement Shaped Like a Heart and releases their debut album still and quiet brother are you still and quiet on October 16 on Pink Cotton Candy.
