Benny Bay Nielsen is a trombone player and singer from the Horsens area of Jutland, best known as a co-founder and core member of the New Orleans jazz ensemble Jazzerne fra Horsens. The six-piece band was formed at a church concert in Hvirring in 2015 and plays traditional, acoustic New Orleans jazz. Several of its musicians, including Bay Nielsen, previously performed with the Danish show orchestra Jazznødderne.
