Bokassa [NO] + Support: TBA
Norwegian stonerpunk trio Bokassa plays Stengade with their new album "Anomalies" on the way. The band blends punk, metal, and rock in their own distinctive sound and has toured with Clutch, Mastodon, and Metallica.
Bokassa are a Norwegian power trio from Trondheim who, since 2013, have played their own mix of punk, metal and rock they call stonerpunk. The band today consists of Jørn Kaarstad, Olav Dowkes and Ole Vistnes, and they broke through internationally in 2019 when Metallica drummer Lars Ulrich invited them to open for Metallica on stadium stages across Europe. They have since released four studio albums, won the Bendiksen Prize for their live shows and toured with bands such as Clutch, Mastodon and Lagwagon.
Bokassa announced their fifth studio album, 'Anomalies', and released the single 'Cop Out'.
The new album 'Anomalies' is produced by Adrian Bushby and is expected to be released in March 2027 in connection with a new European tour.
Bokassa toured in spring 2026 in France and Spain as part of a concert series with Clutch.
Ole Vistnes became a new member of the band on bass.
The former bassist Inge Morten Gustafsholm, who had toured with the band, announced that the collaboration had ended.
