Burhan G - born Burhan Genç Koç on 20 January 1983 - is a Danish pop and R&B singer, songwriter and producer of Kurdish-Turkish heritage, raised in Brøndby Strand near Copenhagen. He sang soprano in the Copenhagen Boys Choir as a child and toured as a backing vocalist with Outlandish at 16, before launching a solo career in 2003. Switching to Danish-language material from 2010 onwards, he built one of the most consistent hit records in Danish pop, with 13 top-10 singles and multiple gold and platinum certifications.
