🎸 Caktus

About

Caktus is a Danish jazz ensemble with an unusual lineup: two alto saxophones, cello, double bass and drums. Formed in 2017, the group has played over 70 concerts across the Nordic countries. Their debut album 'Under Solen' (2020) earned a Steppeulv nomination and a Danish Music Awards Jazz nod for Album of the Year, while 'Flimrende' was praised as a masterpiece. Their third album 'Øyeblikk' was recorded with the Norwegian big band OJKOS.
