My New Band Believe [UK]
Cameron Picton from black midi presents his new project My New Band Believe with a debut album released on Rough Trade Records.
Cameron Picton (b. 1999) is a British musician who served as bassist and occasional frontman in the experimental rock band black midi - Mercury Prize-nominated for their 2019 debut 'Schlagenheim' and widely regarded as one of the most inventive British bands of the era. After the band's 2024 dissolution, he formed My New Band Believe, releasing a self-titled debut album through Rough Trade Records in April 2026. The record is almost entirely acoustic, drawing on chamber pop, folk and free jazz with a rotating cast of more than 20 collaborators.
Clash Magazine featured a larger portrait of Cameron Picton and My New Band Believe in June 2026, where he described the album as 'a singer-songwriter album, and really just a massive exercise in self-indulgence'.
The debut album 'My New Band Believe' was released on April 10, 2026 via Rough Trade Records and received broad recognition in the music press.
My New Band Believe announced the debut album in February 2026 and released the single 'Numerology' as a non-album track.

My New Band Believe released the debut single 'Lecture 25' on February 14, 2025 with an accompanying music video.
