Carsten Porskrog Rasmussen (born 1960) is a Danish historian with a doctorate from Aarhus University, where his 2003 dissertation examined estate structures in the Duchy of Schleswig. He serves as chief curator and unit head at Museum Sønderjylland at Sønderborg Castle and as adjunct professor at Aarhus University. His research focuses on the history of Southern Jutland and the duchies - covering agriculture, the nobility, manorial estates and princely power - and he has authored numerous books and articles on the region.
Carsten Porskrog Rasmussen gave a lecture at Augustiana in Augustenborg about the 200-year history of the Augustenborg ducal family based on the White Palace.
In 2024 he published the jubilee publication A School and a Home Through 100 Years about Gråsten Agricultural School 1924-2024 and edited the anthology Southern Jutland Elites - from Antiquity to the Industrial Age.
