Christina Bjørkøe is a Danish concert pianist, born in Copenhagen in 1970, widely regarded as one of Denmark's leading classical musicians. She trained at the Juilliard School in New York and completed her studies at the Royal Danish Academy of Music, making her solo debut there in 1997. Bjørkøe has performed with most Danish symphony orchestras and on stages across Europe, Asia and the Americas, and has built a distinguished discography championing Danish piano music. Her recordings have twice earned her the DR P2 Prize, and she has also received the Victor Borge Award and the Gladsaxe Music Prize.
Bjørkøe released in May 2026 on Dacapo Records a digital album with world premiere recordings of rare piano works by Per Nørgård - a prelude to a double CD planned for 2027.
Shortly before Per Nørgård's death, Bjørkøe played Partita Severa privately for the composer in April 2025, to his great delight.
Bjørkøe performed on 27 September 2025 in Dronningesalen at the Royal Library with Copenhagen Soloists under conductor Jonathan Ofir with Chopin's first piano concerto.
