Crocell are a Danish death/black metal band from Aarhus, formed in January 2007 by veterans of the local metal scene. Their debut album "The God We Drowned" (2008) earned them the Metal Talent of the Year award at the Danish Metal Awards, and they have since released seven albums and played over 100 shows across more than ten countries. Their latest record, "Swarm of Insects" (May 2026), released via Emanzipation Productions, is the first they recorded entirely themselves.
Crocell released their seventh album "Swarm of Insects" on May 29, 2026 via Emanzipation Productions on vinyl, CD and digitally.
"Swarm of Insects" is the first Crocell album recorded entirely in-house and the first written with guitarist Mads Bertram after Rasmus "Hexen" Henriksen's death in 2023.
The album was released in a limited vinyl edition of 300 copies (orange/black marble) as well as a digipack CD and digital download.
Crocell released the album "Of Frost, Of Flame, Of Flesh" in June 2024 produced by Tue Madsen and as the band's first release on Emanzipation Productions.
