Current 93
Experimental music project Current 93 performs at Store VEGA with doors and show at 20:00.
Current 93 is a British experimental music project founded in London in 1982 by David Tibet (born David Michael Bunting). Starting out in industrial noise and dark ambient, the group gradually shifted toward what Tibet calls 'apocalyptic folk' - a singular blend of acoustic folk, Christian mysticism and avant-garde sensibility. Tibet remains the sole permanent member, drawing in a wide circle of collaborators over more than four decades and releasing over twenty full-length albums.
Current 93 plays at Vega in Copenhagen on September 19, 2026 as part of a European autumn tour.
The publisher Zagava announced the release of stamps and postcards featuring David Tibet's artwork 'The Night Is Eating Us All'.
Current 93 released two new albums in 2025: 'Moony Tunes' and 'May Be Skeletal Rainbow'.
The group released two albums in 2024 under the abbreviation C93: 'Astral Crimes of Stephen Hawke' and 'Astral Crimes in the Dark House'.
