About

Danseorkestret is a Danish band formed in Copenhagen in 1984 by Jacob Andersen, Jørgen Klubien and Rasmus Kærså. Their debut album (1985) sold over 90,000 copies on the strength of hits like "Regndans" and "Kom tilbage nu", blending 80s pop with soul, reggae and Latin influences. Klubien also built a parallel career as an animator at Disney and Pixar, working on titles including The Little Mermaid and The Lion King. After Jacob Andersen's sudden death in March 2021, Klubien has continued performing under the name Klubien & Dans'orkestret with a new lineup.
