David Nicolas Hopmann is a professor of political communication at the University of Southern Denmark, where his research focuses on democracy, media and political power. He is involved in Magtudredningen 2.0, a major Danish research project mapping how power is distributed in contemporary Denmark. He is himself a member of the Danish minority in South Schleswig and serves as deputy chair of Flensborg Avis.
