About

Djuma Soundsystem is the project of Norwegian DJ and producer Mikkas Skuldstad, based in Copenhagen. Originally a duo with Danish partner Lars B, Mikkas has run the project solo for many years, keeping a signature sound that moves between afro house, tech house and techno, built around organic rhythms and melody. The project broke through with the club classic "Les Djinns" on Get Physical Music - one of the best-selling tracks in Beatport history - and has since released on Crosstown Rebels, Stil vor Talent and Sol Selectas. Through his own Iziki label and radio show, Mikkas has been a key figure in bringing afro house to global audiences.
