Dodo & The Dodos are a Danish pop-rock band formed in 1986 by lead singer Dodo Gad (born Maria Charlotte Gad) alongside Jens Rud, Steen Christiansen, Lars Thorup and Anders Valbro. They broke through on Danish radio with songs like "Vågner i natten", "Sømand af verden" and "Pigen med det røde hår", and have sold over 1.5 million albums - one of the highest totals for any Danish act. Before the band released its debut, Dodo Gad was already the voice behind the 1986 World Cup anthem "Re-Sepp-Ten", a top 5 hit across Scandinavia. They remain an active live band, playing around 50 concerts a year throughout Denmark.
Dodo & The Dodos are on an autumn tour 2026 with stops in, among others, Holstebro, Odense, Grenaa, Ringsted, Greve, Svendborg and Hjørring - and the tour continues into 2027.
The band performed a summer tour 2026 with XL-sized screen and full orchestra on the bright Danish summer evenings.
The band performed "The Velvet Tour" with new scenography in a decadent velour, gold and prism expression, among others at MCH Herning Congress Center on 28 November 2025.
The band's popularity is growing, and the fan base is being actively built up - something that can be seen both on Spotify and at live concerts.
Dodo Gad performs dinner concerts under the title "Dodo synger Benny Andersen" in Helsingør, Copenhagen and Skødstrup in early 2027.
